Coolest New Mobile Printer: Canon Pixma iP100

In addition to the standard monochrome offered by such printers as the Pentax PocketJet 3 Portable Monochrome Inkjet, Canon have added color to ensure that true business class presentations can also be produced.

Color comes from Canon’s improve 5 ink system, that allows for photography quality prints, as well as business-class documents. The iP100 features a 9600 x 2400 dpi fine print head creating the best mobile printer documents available, and can easily produce graphs needed for your presentations.

The quality of the Canon PIXMA iP100 also outperforms the HP (Hewlett-Packard) DeskJet 460wbt Mobile Photo Inkjet Printer in speed as well as quality. The Canon mobile printer can produce a borderless 10 x 15 cm photo print in less than 50 seconds, and a standard speed of 20ppm for monochrome prints.

There are two versions of this mobile printer, a standard one that connects to a main speed and a rechargeable version. The battery powered option weights only 2kg and can even have its batteries recharged using the Automobile Power Unit. It is estimated that 290 prints can be done on a single charge of the battery.

There is also a wireless option using the standard IrDA port or additional option of a Bluetooth BU-30 Unit. Hence, the printer can be hooked up to a laptop or desktop in next no time, so while it may be great for the professional on the go, it is also suitable for home use. Additionally, there is also a standard USB 2.0 high speed connection for ease of file transfer.

All in all, the Canon PIXMA iP100 is the coolest mobile printer currently out there. This portable printer is both stylish as well as practical. At a recommended selling price of $249.99 it may seem a little on the steep side but as the market leading portable printer, the Canon PIXMA iP100 is worth that little bit extra.
