Change your Printing Habits – Change Printer Setting to Draft and Save Money!
Great print quality is a must if you are printing. There are no two ways about that. But, very often, what we really need to do is take a rough printout or take a printout of something that we are just going to skim through, and throw away. STEP 1: The ‘Start’ Menu
Switch on your printer and computer. Go to ‘Start’ and then click on ‘Control Panel’. Once the control panel window opens, click on the ‘Printers and Faxes’ icon.
STEP 2: Printer and Properties
Right-click on the ‘Printers and Faxes’ icon and click on ‘Properties’ and select it. A multi-tabbed dialog box will appear. Click on the tab marked ‘Printing Preferences’.
STEP 3: Looking Through the Options
In the dialog box, choose the “Draft Mode’. You might have to, in some cases, move the Printer Quality slider towards the ‘Fast Printing’ option.
Step 4: Job Done
Once you select ok, you have changed the printer setting to draft.
STEP 5: Through the Document
If you are printing a word or an excel document you can go to the print properties and make the necessary changes.
